NADONA, along with 15 other national organizations and more than 50 state and local organizations, have partnered with AAOA (Allied Against Opioid Abuse) to raise awareness about prescription opioid safety. AAOA has reached tens of thousands of Americans, including patients, caregivers, pharmacists, healthcare providers, business groups and health industry leaders.
AAOA’s goal from the beginning has been to contribute to solving the opioid crisis in a meaningful way by educating patients about the rights, risks and responsibilities associated with prescription opioids. With NADONA’s insights and collaboration, AAOA has made tremendous progress and contributed to filling the education and awareness gap.
To share the great work that AAOA has achieved in the first year, AAOA compiled a “Year in Review” report which includes an overview of activities, images from events and a sampling of stakeholder quotes and media coverage about AAOA.
